Crowning glory: DIY flower crown

Watch our super-easy tutorial and crown yourself the boho-queen

Rock boho-chic this summer

Whether you’re hanging out in hotpants and Hunters at a musical festival or channelling your inner nymph at a bohemian wedding, a halo of flowers and foliage is the perfect finishing touch.

Super-girlie and slightly whimsical, the flower crown is the queen of summer hair accessories. But forget the two-a-penny plastic variety that every high-street store is sure to be peddling this season.

What you’ll need:

  • Flowers of your choice
  • Ivy
  • Florist scissors

What to do:

  1. Loop tendrils of ivy to create a circlet
  2. Cut stems of flowers
  3. Slot stems of flowers into the circlet
  4. Wear your flower crown

TIP: Go dainty and rustic with small, delicate flowers, such as daisies – or make a statement with voluptuous blooms, such as peonies and large roses.
