Make your home greener with terrariums

No green fingers required

We flower lovers can always appreciate plants as well, so let us tell you about Noam Levy. According to Noam Levy of The Green Factory you do not need green fingers to make your living environment greener. With the aid of terrariums he transforms living and working spaces into green oases. He creates these Sixties-inspired terrariums with a small team at his Green Factory. That sounds like a big production plant, but is actually the opposite. The Green Factory is a small boutique and workshop near Canal Saint-Martin, a place which is very popular with fabulous Parisiennes and hip Parisians. The Green Factory is sometimes called Paris’s 'best-kept secret’. As far as we’re concerned, such a beautiful shop with such a great ambition should be known all over the world. So let us tell you some more about it.

Ecosystem in a glass pot

Noam makes plant compositions in lidded glass terrarium pots with the aim of creating self-sufficient ecosystems. Each creation is hand-made, consisting of a small tree in the middle of the pot with some greenery and stones around it. Apart from watering it a couple of times a year, the ecosystem requires little maintenance. A terrarium like this brings a piece of forest into your home.

Terrarium for the home

His shop is at the following address: 17 rue Lucien Sampaix, Paris. You can visit the shop Wednesday to Saturday between 11:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday between 11:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. If you’re not able to get to Paris any time soon, don’t worry. You can also order a DIY kit online! The instructions are on the website.
