How to create

Step 1:

Get your bamboo canes and stick tape on the canes at different heights. Leave a gap of around 50 cm from the end. If you’re making a number of canes, vary your tape for the best effect.

Step 2:

If you are using bottles that have contained soft drinks, clean the inside first. Water bottles can be used straightaway. Remove the label from the bottles and attach the bamboo canes to the bottle using elastic bands. If the bottle is not completely rigid, fill it with water and put the cap on; this will make the bottle more rigid and make it easier to attach the elastic bands around the bottle.

Step 3:

Half-fill the bottles with the watering can and insert the sunflowers. You can now place the canes in the soil; use your creativity and express yourself to create a great display! If you find it easier, you can also plant the canes first and fill the bottles with water and the sunflowers afterwards. No garden? Then just place the sunflowers indoors; use a bucket with sand to hold the canes.
