A few of our favourite florists

Our pick of Britain’s most beautiful blooms

Whether you’re looking for the perfect florist for your wedding or you just want to brighten up an otherwise dull working day with a virtual fix of brilliant blooms – prepare to be wowed by these fabulously creative florists from around the UK.

McQueens Flowers

When founder Kally Ellis set up McQueens in 1991, she had one aim in mind: “I wanted to sell simple, stylish flowers, beautifully presented, to the London market. And I knew people would love it.” She was right. Her small shop in Shoreditch has blossomed into a world-renowned multi-faceted brand with its own store in Claridge’s hotel as well as a flagship store in East London’s trendy Bethnal Green and its own flower school. Think luxurious, fashion forward arrangements.

Scarlet & Violet

The “overgrown flower shop” of A-list florist Vic Brotherton, Scarlet & Violet is synonymous with wild, abundant and romantic bouquets, bursting with English country garden blooms delphiniums and roses, hydrangeas and foxgloves. In other words, flowers that look like they’ve just been handpicked from an overgrown meadow. We’re not surprised Kate Moss and Lily Allen entrusted Brotherton to do their wedding flowers.

Fairy Nuff founder, florist Steph Turpin is a firm favourite with brides and bridal magazines. If you need an escape from the dreary day-to-day, scroll through her Instagram feed for a fairytale fix of peonies, poppies, ranunculus and roses.

Jo Flowers

Norfolk-based Jo combines her classical training in floristry with her love of horticulture to create distinctive displays that are at once effortless, timeless and beautifully romantic. Peep into Jo’s home and garden, inspirations and loves in this gorgeous short video.

Lucy MacNicoll Floral Design

Based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, Lucy MacNicoll began her career in fashion before bringing her natural flair for colour and design to the equally creative world of floristry. Her wow-factor wedding displays earned her Winner of the Wedding Florist of the Year 2016 at the National Wedding Industry awards, which was voted by happy clients and a panel of highly acclaimed UK florists.
