A trip to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show can be overwhelming. Lots of colour

The Great Pavillion was full of fabulous colourful displays. Whilst the large groups of tulips, gerberas and chrysanthemums looked stunning, the beauty of the flowers can be brought into your home in smaller arrangements. In particular, purples were abundant throughout the show so be sure to keep an eye out for soft purple blooms in your local florist.

Take inspiration from outside

It's the large gardens at Chelsea that are often considered the main attraction. The planted displays often combine flowers, furniture and water features to have maximum impact but you can mix similar flowers in bouquets in your home. Sunflowers, roses and carnations are all featured in Nature's Hidden Heroes, the exhibit from Marks and Spencers, so how about creating your own arrangement of these flowers in a tall vase? The M&G Garden housed lots of aliums in amongst the grasses which could inspire you to show cut aliums amongst greenery for a striking display.
