How to make the prettiest hanging flower baubles

A unique way to display your fresh flowers

Glass baubles make such pretty decorations it seems a shame to have to wait until Christmas to enjoy their beauty. These gorgeous DIY flower-filled globes from the Pretty Prudent blog would make the perfect addition to a vintage-chic bedroom. Hang them from the wardrobe or a dressing table drawer.

What you’ll need:

  1. Clear glass baubles
  2. A variety of small flowers and flower petals
  3. Twine
  4. Water

How to make them:

Remove the metals tops and set aside. Fill each bauble about 1/3 full with water. Be careful not to overfill them as they could become too heavy and break off while hanging. Sprinkle in the petals or push the small flowers through the opening. Be sure to experiment with different flowers, petals and leaves for a unique look!

See the Pretty Prudent blog for more bauble inspiration.

Which flowers to choose

Smaller flowers, such as daisies and violas look super pretty and are small enough to fit through the neck of a bauble. Alternatively, cut up loose petals from your favourite blooms. Fragrant flowers, such as roses will add a subtle scent – but remember to regularly replace the petals and water.
