DIY: Happy Holidays with radiant flowers
Ilex makes everything so Christmassy!
You need to get stuck into the jam and the gherkins, because those jars will come in very handy as vases for this sweet ensemble with flowers.
This is what you need
- Jam and pickle jars with a metal lid.
- Cans of spray paint in various colours
- Short flower tubes with caps
- Carnations
- Lilies
- Ilex
- Statice
- Matrecaria
What to do
- Rinse out the jars and soak off the labels.
- Make a hole in each lid so that a tube can just fit through (you can get a long way with a nail and a hammer).
- Push the tubes through the holes in the lid and then spray the lids in various sweet colours.
- Fill the jars with Christmas biscuits, sweets, cookies, marshmallows or anything that fits with this theme.
- Put a little water in the tubes, screw on the lids, distribute the flowers, one per jar.
