Florist and stylist Manuela Sosa has a fantastic greenhouse and has allowed us a peep inside. She is a source of inspiration. In fact she does it so well that you quickly find yourself looking around your home to work out where you could put your own greenhouse. Perhaps you will soon be creating your own spot for growing flowers and plants. A place where you can plunge your hands into the soil, but where you can also relax and enjoy all the fragrances and colours with a nice glass of wine. Make it vivid with the most fabulous colourful bloomers, or opt for calm shades and a serene atmosphere. And regardless of whether you have grown or bought the plants and flowers around you, it’s all about the enjoyment…

The perfect climate

We don’t all live under the Spanish sun, so we will have to give nature a helping hand from time to time, since the temperature in a tropical greenhouse must be between 18 and 21 degrees throughout the year. A bit of extra heating occasionally works wonders.

Seeds, plants and lovely things

In her greenhouse Manuela creates a space you don’t want to leave. Where you are constantly surprised, since she is forever seeking out old traditional furniture to enhance the atmosphere. Seedlings and seeds germinate on high tables, and the beautiful curtains create a warm, cosy look. Terracotta pots are very good for cultivating plants.

Be inspired by Manuela’s Spanish flair, but certainly also apply your own style. It’s your paradise! A nice sofa or armchair is a must if you want to fully enjoy the flowers and plants. And above all keep playing, experimenting and experiencing throughout the year: match the interior to the season or the colours of the flowers that it contains. So that ultimately it’s not just green, but also a house.
