Good news for those of us who feel like we keep getting out on the wrong side of the bed in the morning, or who live with people who do the same. A Harvard University study on the benefits of flowers proved that flowers are the perfect tool to help us start our day feeling great.
The Harvard research team filled participants’ homes with beautiful bunches of flowers. Participants were then asked how they felt in the early hours. As it turns out, flowers make for a more positive start to the day, especially when you put a nice bunch in the spaces that are used a lot in the morning such as the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Imagine sipping your morning coffee in the company of a beautiful sunflower. But the effect isn’t just limited to mornings: flowers give us a positive boost of energy all day long. It’s funny isn’t it, how flowers do that.
