NikeCourt x Liberty London: fabulously floral

Could this be their freshest collection to date?

When unlikely style buddies Nike (the cutting edge sports brand) and Liberty (the quintessentially English department store) first collaborated in 2005, nobody expected this to be the start of a beautiful and long-lasting relationship. But 12 successful collections on and the collaboration is still going strong.

A taste of summer

A celebration of summer and our wild, floral landscape, this year’s NikeCourt x Liberty collection features an exclusive Liberty print called Dawn Meadow bursting with country flowers, from Wood Anemone and Stitchwort to London Pride and Cornus Sanguinea.

The print can be found on six Nike silhouettes: Tennis Classic, Cortez, Air Max 1, Air Zoom Vapor 9.5, Air Rift and the Benassi Slide.

Drawing on nature

Dawn Meadow is a hand-painted design created exclusively for Nike, and inspired by a set of botanical drawings. Manipulated and redrawn to fit a range of tennis whites and performance footwear silhouettes, Dawn Meadow was brought to life, the fine line work picked out using washes of colour in a painterly meadow style.
