COLOURS AND SHAPES
Most daisies originate from the Leucanthemum perennial family, which produces new flowers every year. Through breeding work, single, semi-double and even double-flowered varieties can be found, usually in white or yellow colours, but sometimes in a blush pink.

The daisy is a symbol of love, innocence, protection and truth. When you give daisies to someone, you are symbolically making them "happy". The daisy is also a symbol of sunshine, so it's perfect for grey days. The word Marguerite comes from the Ancient Greek margarites, which comes from the Babylonian and means pearl.
Origin
This flower originates in Europe, North Africa and temperate zones of Asia, and can be found even in Australia and New Zealand. In the past daisies were thought to be part of the Chrysanthemum family, but research has shown that it is in fact a different genus. Daisies aren't scented, and their leaves lack the greyish-white hairs of the Chrysanthemum.
