A spherical spectacle bursting with colour

The hydrangea is not just a beauty - it also symbolises beauty! That deserves a bespoke vase. How about making a dome for your favourite hydrangea balls?

What you need:

  • Three fish bowls in different sizes
  • Hydrangea
  • Roses
  • Cans of spray paint in attractive colours
  • Plastic flowerpot
  • Gloves
  • String or elastic cord
  • Knife

How to make it

Step 1

Place the plastic flower pot on the glass fish bowl and spray the bottom part in the desired colour. Only remove the pot when you’re satisfied with the result, for example by using several layers of paint.

Step 2

Fill the bowl with water and flower food, and place the hydrangea in the bowl. If you’re using flowers other than hydrangeas, make a short bouquet and tie it with string before you place the flowers in the dome.

Colour-matching

Use spray paint in colours that also occur in your interior, or opt for a colour that matches the hydrangeas. The nice thing is that you can keep varying!
