DIY: romantic rose punch

You will need

  • Glasses
  • Sieve
  • Pan
  • 1 teaspoon rose water (made from edible rose petals, 2 cups sugar and 1 cup water)
  • 750 ml dry white wine
  • 750 ml sparkling mineral water

Get to work

Combine the sugar and the water in a small pan and heat the mixture on a medium heat. Stir regularly until the sugar has dissolved. Turn the heat down and add the edible rose petals. Leave to simmer on a low heat for 15 minutes, but make sure that it doesn’t boil. Turn off the heat after 15 minutes and leave to cool for 2 to 3 hours. Sieve the mixture to ensure that there are no rose petals left behind. Place ice cubes in attractive glasses, add the rose water, wine and mineral water and decorate the rose punch with edible rose petals.
