DIY: rose-scented sugar scrub

The rose scent in this scrub makes us feel relaxed, while the sugar has an exfoliating effect. Sugar is quite gentle on the skin, so you can use the scrub on your face as well.

You will need

  • A mortar and pestle
  • A sterilised glass jar with lid
  • 150g pure coconut oil

  • 100g white sugar
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 3 tbsp dried rose petals
  • 4

    drops pure rose essential oil

Get to work

Grind the rose petals with the mortar until they are pulverized. Melt the coconut oil in a bain-marie and let it cool for a while, before stirring in the sugar and honey.

Add the rose petals and rose essential oil into the mixture and stir again. Once all the ingredients are combined, spoon the scrub into the glass jar. Enjoy!

* Check when you buy the rose petals whether they are suitable for topical application.
