DIY: bottle vase with cheerful trimmings

Celebrate your love for the lily!

These cheerful frills create a celebration for your lily – so much so that you could almost put a cupcake and candle next to it. Have you posted the invitations? Place the vase next your bed and for a moment you’ll think it’s your birthday when you wake up. Alternatively, put it by the front door and you’ve got a party the minute you walk in. Bet you never thought a bottle vase could be so lively!

How to make it

Step 1:

Fold the paper in half a couple of times and cut out the cheerful frills.

Step 2:

Stick the frills on, layer on top of layer, half a centimetre above one another. Start at the bottom; let the paper overhang the bottom of the bottle slightly so that you can no longer see the bottle’s base when the vase is in position. Let the paper overlap a few millimetres on the side of the bottle.

Step 3:

Continue to the top and stick trimmings on the neck of a bottle until just above the edge. Finish with a ribbon. Fill the bottle with water and place the flower in it.
