DIY: treat someone to a sweet goody bag

Something delicious for all the senses
Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

Sometimes you just want to do something extra. Skip the impersonal message to that friend, new neighbour or colleague who could use a pick-me-up and surprise them with a visit and goody basket. With something finger-licking good and a little something for the vase, accompanied by a handwritten note: 'You deserve these delicacies'.

Freesia, a vintage flower, leaves a subtle perfume that's delicious in a vase next to the bed or at your workplace. The flower is also a symbol of unconditional love, so it's totally fitting for your very best friend or your mother.

A tasty treat is given in the form of a jam (you can also just buy it, but keep the homemade feeling, so buy it from the farmers' market) and a homemade foccacia with flowers and plants. The bread has enough flavour to be eaten alone with some olive oil or become a dessert in combination with the jam!

Goody bag or doggy bag?

This basket full of delicacies also works very well as a doggy bag at the end of an extensive lunch that you have organised. Were your eyes bigger than your stomach? Then this is a very pretty way of getting leftovers home.
